Rules

• The syllabus for each examination will be cumulative for classes IX to XII and semester system will be followed for lower classes.



• The progress report sent to the parents after each examination, should be signed and returned within 5 days



• A student may not be allowed to sit in the annual examination, if he/she has put in a minimum of 85% attendance.



• The final assessment of a pupil at the end of academic session will be based on his/her achievements in all the examinations. The weightage of each examination is as under:
  
  a. First terminal examination      30%
  b. Second terminal examination       30%
  c. Third terminal examination       30%
  d. Regular assessment       10%
  



• Marks/Grades obtained in Drawing and painting will not be added to the grand total on order to work out the position in the class.



• In classes I to VIII, a candidate must obtain not less than 33% marks in each subject in order to pass the examination. however , a student failing in one or two vernacular language subjects may be granted promotion provided he/she secures at least 255 marks in each of the failing subjects.



• In nursery and Prep classes, there will be no formal examination. Children will be promoted on the recommendation of the teacher, based on the progress during the whole session.



• In class IX & XI, a candidate will be required to secure at lease 33% marks in all subjects of the examination. However a candidate failing in one subject will be eligible to take a supplementary examination in that subject to be held in the 3 rd week of April and pass the same to confirm admission to the next higher class. Any student who fails in two subjects or more will be detained in the same class.



• In class Xi, in order to quality in a subject involving partial a candidate must obtain atleast 33% marks in theory as well as practical separately.



• Only meritorious students will be admitted to science stream in class XI subject to availability of seats
